We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be driven and committed to motivating the current team in order to increase top line sales for the organisation.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to provide effective relationship management, liaise with delivery teams regarding new client requirements, pricing (quotations/proposals) develop new business pipeline and lead times and support the Sales Team’s client activities and tasks.

As Business Development Assistant your role will include;

  • Identifying market opportunities to capitalise on winning new business contracts
  • Prospecting for new clients by networking, cold calling and generating interest from potential clients with the view to close new business deals
  • Proactively contact new and potential clients, through telephone & email to promote the products of the business and to generate, record & identify opportunities for business development
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients to gain repeat business
  • Utilise CRM system to record and follow up customer interactions
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer communication and service

The ideal candidate will:

  • Ideally have 2 years’ experience in a sales department and sound knowledge of the sales process
  • Be driven by high performance and exceeding targets
  • Be an excellent communicator, a team player with a can-do positive attitude with a flexible and open approach with customers and internal teams
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience of delivering high level customer care
