We are looking to appoint a permanent Payroll Administrator to join an award winning company in Blackburn.

Our client is a national service business; working with well renowned companies across the UK. Their success has been built on the skills of valued people and continue to recruit talented people to join the team.

Due to a new acquisition, our client’s payroll is doubling from 500 to near 1000 as such they are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Administrator who is looking for a change of pace, or a strong administrator looking to move in to a payroll position.

You will not be required to process the payroll as this is outsourced to an external business, the role will involve collating the information across multiple sites and employees.

As a Payroll Administrator your role will include:

  • Support the payroll processing system by records by gathering timesheets, information and inputting data for weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll
  • Answers staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records
  • Receives and coordinates requests for leave and other absences
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
  • Liaising with site managers regarding hours worked
  • Handling payroll queries
  • Other duties as requested by

The ideal Payroll Administrator must have:

  • Knowledge of payroll with strong administration skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the role
  • Strong telephone skills
