We currently seek to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to work within the Accounts department of a fast moving, dynamic team.

Our client is one of the leading commercial properties in the area and is rapidly expanding. Their headquarters are based in Blackburn where they provide property services for all company sizes. Due to growth they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to join the Accounts team.

As an Accounts Assistant your role will include;

  • To maintain the Sales Ledger and to extend credit facilities in accordance with the Company Policy
  • Ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly routines are completed within the Company timescales
  • To maintain accounting records filed in good order for the retention period
  • Purchase and supplier controls, including validation by cross checking purchase orders of all supplies and services
  • To assist in the completion of all monthly management accounts
  • To assist in the completion of all annual budgets
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Reconciling bank accounts

The ideal Accounts Assistant must;

  • Have previous experience working within a busy finance department
  • Be highly numerate and comfortable analysing data
  • Be computer literate with knowledge and experienced knowledge of Excel (including VLookup and Pivot tables) and Sage to a high standard
  • Have received or working towards an accounting qualifications (advantageous)
  • Be enthusiastic, driven and motivated

The client will offer;

  • A competitive salary of £25,000 DOE
