Cummins Mellor has a fantastic opportunity within a large finance business who are looking for an Account Manager to coordinate new business proposals from receipt through to conclusion.

This company is an independent finance business who provide a personalised service to brokers and customers and offer expertise in underwriting and collections.

As an Account and Relationship Manager your role will include;

  • Building strong relationships with asset finance introducers
  • Representing the company at corporate and networking events
  • Performing initial credit assessment
  • Requesting valuations from 3rd party sources
  • Negotiating price for new business
  • Producing documentation to complete the asset finance transaction as required
  • Performing credit reviews and research industry/customer-related information for all new proposals and ad-hoc reviews of existing customer exposures
  • Achieve the timely turnaround of all business proposals in accordance with pre-agreed service levels
  • Work closely with the Credit Managers/Underwriters Discuss
  • Satisfy credit, risk and asset conditions.

The ideal Account and Relationship Manager will have;

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish working relationships over the telephone and build upon these to increase future business
  • Sound financial, analytical and numerical skills
  • Exceptional organisation and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and accountable
  • Team player with self-motivation and drive

Experience (essential):

  • Previous account relationship management experience
  • High level of computer literacy

Experience (desirable):

  • Knowledge of asset finance and asset finance products
  • Other financial services business experience e.g. ABL, leasing, corporate banking
