My client seeks an ambitious and visionary Finance Manager to lead their expanding finance team. Due to a prolonged period of change, they seek an experienced, qualified financial manager to lead their current team of 3. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, troubleshooter and planner. You will work with stakeholders across the wider business providing financial information, reports and forecasts.


My client is a leading charitable organisation based in Central Lancashire and they can offer the opportunity to put a real stamp on the charities’ financial future.


The new Finance Manager needs to be proactive and positive whilst implementing strategic change and remain confident in the knowledge that the resulting finance department will run smoothly and efficiently through the implementation of good controls, systems and processes.


As a Finance Manager, your role will include;

  • Supervision, support and development of the current accounting team: Purchase Ledger Supervisor, Receivables and Payroll Supervisor
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts
  • Development of sound accounting controls and procedures
  • Liaison and communication with finance “customers” to provide standard monthly reports and any ad hoc financial information
  • Preparation of annual budgets
  • Assistance with the implementation of new accounting systems
  • Refinement of processes and implementation of new accounting controls


The ideal Finance Manager must have;

  • Professional accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience of preparation of statutory and management accounts
  • Experience of presenting financial information to non-finance professionals
  • Experience of using a range of finance & office IT packages
  • Experience of managing change & implementing new systems, processes and procedures
  • Experience of staff management
