We currently seek to appoint an experienced Purchase Ledger, Expenses Administrator to work within the Accounts department of a fast moving, dynamic team

Cummins Mellor have an exciting opportunity within a British, family run business who operate internationally and are based in the heart of East Lancashire.

The key purpose of this role is to provide a purchase ledger function for the business to ensure suppliers are paid on time, to check and process employee’s expenses and support the finance department. Reporting directly the senior Management Accountant, you will have proven Accounts experience and be able to commit to a temporary contract and can start immediately.

As an Accounts Administrator your role will include;

  • Matching invoices to raised PO’s on AX
  • Allocating payments on supplier accounts
  • Raising weekly/month end BACS payments
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Posting Invoices onto the software AX as invoice journals when no PO required
  • Setting up new suppliers following the company procedures
  • Issuing cash advances
  • Control and balancing of the travel float
  • Issuing monthly credit card expenses
  • Holiday cover for the Cashier including all banking processes
  • Monthly Intrastat processing – Imports
  • Preparing and requesting of manual payments to be raised by the Cashier for none GBP payments and urgent GBP payments

The ideal Accounts Administrator must;

  • Have previous work experience within a high volume, Accounts and Finance environment
  • Have proven Purchase Ledger experience
  • Be fully IT literate with advanced Excel skills including the use of Pivot tables
  • Be confident working towards targets and deadlines
  • Experience of completing monthly Intrastat reports
  • Be focused, proactive, positive, committed & can work well under pressure
  • Be strong at multi-tasking
