Cummins Mellor are looking for a Purchase Ledger to join a busy manufacturing business in Blackburn. This position is on a temporary to permanent basis.

An excellent opportunity has opened up for a Purchase Ledger to work within a well-established manufacturing business located in Blackburn. With over 20 years of expertise in their area you will be working in a well-recognised, reputable organisation.

As a Purchase Ledger your role will include;

  • Keeping the purchase ledger accounts up to date for invoices, credits, payments and adjustments
  • Posting all new invoices and credits received as unauthorized, and matching them up to a delivery note if necessary
  • Reconciling incoming statements to the ledger
  • Sales ledger, data entry
  • Closing off Purchase Ledger no later than stated on management accounts timetables
  • Matching cash to invoices
  • Filing invoices, credit notes etc.

The ideal Purchase Ledger must;

  • Have proven experience working in an accounts role
  • Be willing to work full time hours
  • Be skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Possess high levels of accuracy and have a keen eye for detail
  • Be a good communicator with a pro-active nature
  • Have good communication skills both face to face and via telephone
