My client, a well-established business, based in Blackburn is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their extremely busy. The ideal candidate will be a confident Purchase Ledger Clerk who possesses high levels of accuracy and a keen eye for detail. A good communicator that is able to work to tight deadlines as part of a team team along with a pro-active nature and a can do attitude. You must show flexibility to be able to help out where necessary.

Duties

• Weekly payments runs

• Gaining authorisation of invoices

• Posting invoices

• Maintaining cashbook

• Bank reconciliations

• Checking bank statements

• ther ad-hoc duties

• Work out VAT payments

• Pay out money via BACS or by cheque

• Check and reconcile supplier statements

• File invoices and statements

• Deal with purchase enquiries Process staff expenses

• Great communications skills

• Good awareness of deadlines

• A calm manner when dealing with hot-headed clients
