The charity seek a driven, results orientated individual to join their warm, vibrant and busy team. As the organisation’s Fundraising and Relationship Manager you will be responsible for raising funds through ongoing corporate support, events, employee & community fundraising and through the creation and development of revenue streams linked to utilising the charity’s facilities and services.

The successful applicant will be a natural networker and will thrive from building ongoing relationships through trust, clear communication and regular contact. A key aspect of this role will be working with existing funders and corporate patrons to strengthen partnerships and enhance revenue streams.

Working hours are 37.5 per week to be worked within core office hours of 9.00am to 5pm. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to attend a range of events and networking meetings that may fall outside of these hours. The ability to work flexible is therefore essential.

As a Fundraising & Relationship Manager your role will include:

  • Responsibility for meeting an income target circa £300k per year
  • Planning and coordinating a range of fundraising events, employee and community fundraising throughout the financial year
  • Creating and developing revenue generating enterprise through the utilisation of the organisation’s premises and services
  • Creating meaningful relationships with existing donors and corporate partners
  • Increasing engagement and retention of donors and patrons
  • Management of a small team of professionals committed to generating revenue through events
  • Working with media partners to deliver sophisticated marketing, communications and PR
  • Make best use of the charity’s team, Board and Patrons to strengthen private sector relationships and identify prospects within their networks
  • Reporting back to the executive board on fundraising activities

The ideal Fundraising & Relationship Manager must:

  • Be passionate, energetic and committed to creating and developing income streams
  • Have experience working in a sales, account management or target driven environment
  • Have prior experience, or a natural affinity, to lead and motivate teams
  • Have excellent budgeting and income forecasting skills to provide financial reports on fundraising progress
  • Have a strategic approach to developing and maintaining relationships
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Be a natural communicator and networker
  • Be committed to upholding the charity’s ethos and their commitment to their local community
  • Possess strong computer & IT skills
  • Have a full driving license
