We are looking to recruit an Interim Chef de Partie for an exceptionally busy Gastro Pub on the Wirral with real character overlooking the gorgeous countryside

We are looking to recruit an Interim Chef de Partie for an exceptionally busy Gastro Pub on the Wirral with real character overlooking the gorgeous countryside.

Previous CJUK Interim chefs have said the head chef takes the time to show you around and make sure you feel comfortable. The front of house staff are brilliant and the team as a whole are really friendly and helpful. The accommodation is nice and they would happily go back in the future.

This Seasonal fresh menu endeavours to use the freshest ingredients wherever possible and the menu is a host to lots of traditional hearty British dishes and lighter bites. The ideal candidate must feel confident in working with these ingredients. It is important to stress how busy these sites get, up to 200 covers per service, so candidates must be strong in dealing with big numbers and be sure they can hit the ground running.

Experienced Chefs De Partie from the area would have an advantage

As an Interim Chef de Partie your role may include;

  • Preparing fresh ingredients
  • Following guidance from the Head Chef / Sous
  • Demonstrate strict health and hygiene levels
  • Capable and flexible to adapt to a variety of differing menus
  • Moving between various sections as needed by the team
  • Up to 200 covers per service

The ideal Interim Chef de Partie must;

  • Have at least two years’ experience working within a Chef de Partie role
  • Have experience in similar establishments
  • Be able to remain professional in a busy environment
  • Have a Food Hygiene Certificate from within the last three years – If you need to update yours click here
  • Be able to cope with high volumes of food in busy environment
  • Be able to multi-task and adapt to the current needs of the kitchen prior to and during service
  • Excellent use of cooking methods
  • Great knowledge of ingredients
  • You must have your own chefs whites, knives and shoes

Benefits include;

  • A contribution to travel expenses will be available (dependent on location)

  • 2 days off together
  • Excellent rate of pay, between £11-£12ph for an interim Chef de Partie
  • You will work a minimum of 40 hours a week
  • You will become part of the fantastic CJUK brigade – You will be able to develop your skills and work towards becoming one of our Elite Chefs
  • You will be paid weekly on a PAYE basis and accrue holiday pay accordingly
