An experienced Development Chef Consultant with key influencing skills has a great opportunity to join a privately owned commercial kitchen design and foodservice equipment business in Blackburn Lancashire.

Our Client is keen to recruit for this brand new position to join their Sales Team as the Development Chef Consultant as the business continues its expansion strategy.

This business has built its reputation for more than 50 years in the Foodservice Equipment industry across 4 brands delivering Food-Service Equipment, Kitchen Design, Fabrication, Air Conditioning, Heating and Ventilation services.

It has a client list envied throughout the marketplace and as such the projects it delivers are sought after by the competition time and again. Now, due to the continued success of its growth strategy, a position for a new Chef Consultant Manager is available.

You will be responsible for influencing efficiencies and buying decisions by promoting the core services and products across the whole of the UK which includes working with the existing client base as well as new clients including independent restaurant kitchens, bar and drink operators, pub and restaurant chains as well as the education and hospital sectors.

It is the Chef Consultants role to communicate effectively with customers and the internal Project team including in-house CAD department and 3D design team.

The ideal Development Chef Consultant must;

  • A career history within food and drinks Industry;
  • Detailed knowledge of all elements of the Catering and Hospitality Food sector;
  • A working knowledge of modern commercial kitchens and industry equipment;
  • Excellent communication skills across multi-functional departments;
  • Experience of presenting culinary techniques / new recipes to an audience of industry professionals;
  • Innovative and creative Food & drink concepts;
  • Commercial and numerate experience in a demanding and deadline driven business;
  • Full UK driving license.
  • The ability to communicate with both professional Chefs of all levels and board members;
  • Have an understanding of the latest and future food trends from both home and abroad;
  • Can motivate and inspire those around you to create food that challenges the status quo;
  • Can balance flavours and ingredients in order to exceed customer expectations;
