Team Effort for Charity
Two local businesses joined forces to raise much needed funds for local charity the Rosemere Cancer Foundation. Friends, Michelle Mellor, Director at Cummins Mellor Recruitment and Jacky Godfrey Manager of Pandora Blackburn, arranged for their friends, family and colleagues to take part in a 5K fun run in Witton Park on Sunday.
“It was a great event thoroughly enjoyed by all staff and their families who really got together and raised over £500 for Rosemere. It was a huge effort by everyone, thanks to all who took part and contributed to this very worthwhile cause.” Michelle Mellor
Rosemere are a local cancer charity based in Preston. The charity provides treatment, care and support for patients and their families as well as additional facilities and equipment for patients being treated at the Cancer Centre in Preston and the local Cancer Units throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria. The Rosemere Cancer Foundation also funds vital local research, helping to provide the very best care possible for patients across the region.
