Purpose of the role:
The National Account Executive will be responsible for developing and delivering the implementation of the portfolio of accounts, the specific business plan in line with the sales strategy and the Company’s annual budget. You will be tasked to achieve account profitability and sales targets; serving as the primary account contact; providing account leadership. You will also be responsible for increase distribution of key brand items for permanent planogram space and seasonal displays.
You will be the primary contact for the specified account/s and consequently expected to deal directly with most operational matters as they occur. All decisions/actions taken must reflect the impact these have on other customers and the company itself.
Key Accountabilities:
• Develop account business plan strategies in accordance with overall sales and company strategy.
• Deliver account profitability, range and distribution with customer in line with budget targets.
• Plan and deliver profitable promotional activities at hurdle rates that drive incremental volume.
• Negotiate to a mutual conclusion, whilst ensuring the company’s requirements are met, all commercial deals with the account e.g. price increases
• Conduct regular reviews of business performance both internally and with customer.
• Deliver forecast with attached commentary aligned with the weekly and S&OP forecasting process
• Ensure all administrative requirements/reports are delivered in full and on time
• Ensure aged debt is policed and within company acceptable limits
• Ensure internal communication to key stakeholders is optimised to ensure delivery of company/customer objectives
Experience & Qualifications
Ideally you will have at least 2 years FMCG sales/customer facing experience and be of graduate calibre. You must have a proven track record of achievement and strong financial and commercial acumen.
