    Alex Hindle

    Alex lives in Read and is the Marketing Assistant at Cummins Mellor Recruitment. Currently studying  Media Production and design at Burnley UCLAN, she hopes to complete her degree in 2014. Alex lives with her parents and enjoys eating lovely food but also has a passion for shopping!

    Alex enjoys socialising with her friends and watching her boyfriend Ben, who works at BAE systems, motor racing at the weekends.

    A keen photographer and wizz at Photoshop, she likes editing and manipulating images into weird and wonderful things as well as designing documents and websites but also likes to keep on top of the fashion world by blogging and reading articles.

    Alice joined our company in 2008 and has a wide range of experience on the CRB process advising individuals and organisations on all aspects of the disclosure service. Excellent administration and customer service skills, Alice was awarded Apprentice of the year 2009 by Training 2000. Alice knows everything there is to know about Criminal Record Checks, working closely with our compliance team and the CRB. Outside of work Alice loves horse riding, walking and wine.

    Andrew completed 15,000 ft. tandem sky drive in 2004 and hopefully in the not too distant future aims to fulfil his ambition of becoming a fully qualified skydiver (AFF). An animal lover, his pets have included a breeding pair of Sambava  chameleons, pair of emperor scorpions, 3 fire bellied toads, and a pair of giant prickly stick insects. Within the next few years he is hopeful to successfully complete a lifetime dream of exploring China and Canada. Currently temping for Cummins Mellor, Andrew has fit really well into the team and is enjoying working in the hospitality division, his additional spare time activities include a keen music library, an small interest in the stars and planets, researching new technology.

    Charlie Mellor

    Charlie must be the hardest working dog in Lancashire, he arrived at Cummins Mellor in 2009, gracing us with his presence every day, being a Springer he’s always willing be go the extra mile. A lively, enthusiastic creature- he quickly learnt how to win friends and influence his colleagues. Always happy to see you, his strengths are in the meet and greet arena, informing you of when a client  buffet has arrived on the premises and  keen to tease a stroke especially under the chin! An asset to us all, he soothes a frosted brow, is calming and content- we all love Charlie, the place just wouldn’t be the same without him.

    Claire Crook

    Claire is our newest recruit to the Cummins Mellor Team, joining us as a Recruitment Consultant for the East Lancashire Division with a wealth of knowledge in  media sales  spending almost 15 years experience in newspapers, both at The Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn and M.E.N Media, Manchester, Claire has mainly worked within Recruitment Advertising.

    An enthusiastic sales professional with excellent communication and organisational skills, she will bring a wealth of experience to the company.

    Claire enjoys country walks, spending time with family and friends and dining out.

    Eileen Birch

    Eileen has joined the team as a CRB Assistant, to cover all aspects of our company Accounts and Administration. Eileen lives locally and lives with her Husband and 3 children. She enjoys spending time with her family, looking after her 2 rabbits, and also has a passion for painting and drawing. Eileen is able to handle all queries about the CRB process and able to dispatch application forms for all levels of CRB checks.

    Jack is the youngest member of the Cummins Mellor Team, he has joined us as a Modern Apprentice. He is working in Personnel Checks – our CRB Checking department and currently completing his NVQ level 2 in Business Administration. Jack has excellent administration and customer service skills and is extremely organised. Jack is a fantastic artist and in his spare time enjoys sketching, playing football and keeping up to date with the latest cinema releases.

    Jodie Morgan

    Jodie has been with Cummins Mellor since 2008, with over 7 years experience within the Hospitality industry, having trained at 1 Michelin starred Northcote and their Ribble Valley Inns gastro pub group.   She has broadened her horizons having travelled and worked around Australia which has given her a wealth of knowledge within the catering and hospitality sector. She has an eye for detail and works proactively to source the best possible candidates to fill the most demanding of roles from Chefs de Partie to Hotel General managers. Jodie is outgoing and not afraid of any challenge.  She has completed a 12,000 feet Sky Dive over the Great Barrier Reef, is a keen horse rider, and has experienced Scuba Diving and White Water rafting.  Next on her list is to follow in her dads’ footsteps trekking to Everest base camp in Kathmandu. When she’s not busy horse riding or jumping out of planes Jodie is partial to a gin and tonic or two..

    Julie has recently joined Cummins Mellor to cover the position of Business & Recruitment Administration Manager whilst Tracey is on maternity leave.  She has excellent organisation skills together with a proven administrative background.  She lives in Darwen with her 3 cats Dotty, Lilly and Dennis which can be quite a handful!  She loves camping and the outdoors and is an active member of the Territorial Army.  In her spare time she loves spending time with her niece and nephew, going shopping, dining out and playing badminton.

    June Crossley is head of Temporary Hotel & Catering Assignments. She has worked for Cummins Mellor since 1990 operating on a local and national basis providing effective short term solutions in the Hotel, Contract Catering and Pub market sectors.

    June’s earlier career was within the hospitality sector giving her the necessary industry insight to deliver the best possible service levels. Her team are also handpicked from the Hotel & Catering sector.

    Katie Grundy

    Katie joined the company as a modern apprentice in 2004 and over the years she has worked her way up to Business & Finance Manager.  With a natural flare for figures Katie spent 3 years studying for her accountancy qualification which she successfully passed in 2009.  Katie helps support the administration function ensuring all customer accounts are balanced and up to date, as well as providing the Directors with weekly and monthly financial information.  During her spare time Katie enjoys spending time with her family, taking the dogs out walking and travelling to learn about other cultures.

    Kristina Loewen

    Kristina Loewen

    Kristina joined Cummins Mellor in January 2013 as a Recruitment Resourcer.  She works alongside the consultants in the East Lancashire division by screening, selecting, and maintaining candidate flow for the team.   With prior experience as a receptionist at the internationally recognized University of Alberta, Kristina is thrilled to be adding new skills to her ever-evolving repertoire.

    Hailing from Alberta Canada, Kristina fulfilled a dream to move to England in October 2012.  She is passionate about film and creative writing, hoping to complete a novel or a screenplay within the next two years.  For now, you can check out her blog, ‘A Canadian Abroad’ on the Cummins Mellor website.  She also loves “Doctor Who!”

    Krystina Aitken

    Krystina started working at the company in 2007 as a modern apprentice. After achieving her NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Business Administration Krystina became accounts controller. More recently she has taken over the book keeping and general account queries for company after taking an even more financial career path. Krystina has recently married her husband and they live together with their 3 year old son.

    Laura lives in Longridge, near Preston with her husband James (self-employed plumber and gas engineer) in case anyone needs one! and daughter Gwen who is 17 and in the 6th form at Westholme. She lived in America for 11 years from the age of 17, travelled a lot and has over the years acquired some good life skills through her experiences. Laura has 2 cats called Matthew and Victor and one of her dreams in life along with being extremely successful is to have an Alpacas called Al as a pet along with a sheep, a micro pig and some chickens. She enjoys good food, good wine, socialising, zumba, walking, and biking. She loves music and dancing! Laura describes herself as confident, slightly eccentric, happy person who always tries to have a good attitude towards life. A couple of things you may be interested to know about her…she drove a 24ft moving truck across America and has also owned and driven an Ice cream van when living in Arizona. A strong background in sales, customer service and Hospitality, Laura is very well placed to join the Hospitality Team and become a key player at Cummins Mellor.

    Louise Simper

    Louise joined us in April 2013 and is an Advisor in our CRB Checking division Personnel Checks. Louise lives in Ramsbottom, a small town just outside of Bury with her husband, Graeme. Louise would love to have pets, especially a Westie but Graeme isn’t keen! Louise enjoys socialising with friends and family, travelling and going to see live music, but her favourite thing in the world is her family. She has also clocked up quite a few air miles in her time, as a teenager she spent a  summer working in Malia, a popular holiday resort, and she has also travelled around California. Both experiences taught her plenty of life skills. Louise’s main aim in life is to work hard and see the world.

    Polly Brindle

    Polly Brindle

    Polly has recently returned to Cummins Mellor after eleven years! She is currently based in our Personnel Checks Department and responsible for the compliance of applications as well as Account Management and advice on all aspects of our disclosure service.

    Polly started her career as a Modern Apprentice with Cummins Mellor, she gained excellent knowledge, skills and qualifications in all areas of Office Support and Administration, moving on to experience other fields, she as been working in a variety of businesses ranging from Procurement in the Travel Industry, Education in schools and Accounts before coming full circle finally returning to  Recruitment at Milnshaw House.

    Professional and passionate about Customer Service, Cummins Mellor are delighted to see her return! Outside of work Polly is heavily involved in the Majorette world dancing, competing and judging, she also runs a local youth Rugby League team called Accrington Panthers with her husband and enjoys spending quality family time with her family and  two children, Grace and Archie, not forgetting their pet dog, a beagle named Bree.

    Joining the company in 2011, initially in the CRB Checking division, Tracey works as the Business & Recruitment Administration Manager. With her strong administration background, Tracey offers an organised and thorough administration support to the recruitment team as well as ensuring client and candidate records conform to current legislation. Working closely with the different departments, Tracey also ensures the directors are provided with up to date administration information and support.
