What is the best aspect of your job?

Meeting new people and finding out about their career to date and what makes them tick. Then matching them to a great new role, making them and the client very happy!

What was your first ever job?

I had a paper round. Not great as I am very scared of dogs (one house had a huge Alsatian) and I got the papers mixed up all the time!

Best thing about working at Cummins Mellor?

The people, it is such a lovely, supportive and friendly place to work.

What is your best achievement whilst working in recruitment/at Cummins Mellor?

Any placement that I’ve made, they all make me pleased to be honest.

If you were MD of Cummins Mellor for a day, what would you do?

Hmmm, install a gym so that I would have no excuse not to exercise.

How would you make England a better country?

Try and get people to have more empathy with others, racism and bigotry is borne out of ignorance and fear, I’d like people to be more educated about other races/cultures/religions so that they don’t fear those who are simply different.

Briefly describe your job/market

Legal, so all roles within a law firm from the receptionist up to Fee Earners. I deal with Legal Practices throughout the Northwest

Accountancy Practices, from those training to those heading up teams, again throughout the Northwest.

Who is your role model?

I don’t really have one, I have loads of people I admire for different reasons, but not really one person in particular.

Who would you like a coffee and chat with?

David Mitchell, I love him. He is intelligent and witty.

If you were given tomorrow off work, what would you do for the day?

Take my children to the seaside and go rock pooling.

Best advice anyone ever gave me …

Don’t be judgmental, it is easy to make snap judgments without knowing the full facts.
